Probond is pretty good, personally I like Titebond better, I think it foams better. System Three makes a good one, too. Gorilla is great but it's twice the price.
I have never had a paddle lamination fail with polyurethane. But for the ash tips, will it be easy to get enough clamp pressure around the tip? The poly likes to be clamped tight, epoxy is more forgiving that way.
