For those of you who like the cleat type of paddle park here is an alternative.
This is let into the deck immediately in front of the cockpit. Though not as functional for lashing as is a double cleat, this option is lower in profile and less prone to knuckle busting or snagging on clothing etc. - and besides, it's fun to make and should take no more than a couple of hours to build.
By the way, has anyone ever snagged a cleat or hard padeye - I haven't but it would be interesting to know how common of an occurence this really is?
