I spent about 4 hours this weekend ripping strips with an old tablesaw. The saw is at least 20 years old, and still runs very well. It is a belt drive, by Rockwell Beaver. I set it up to rip 3 strips at once, using freud 7 1/4 inch thin kerf 20 tooth blades. The saw doesn't seem to slow down at all when cutting 3/4 inch white cedar boards.
