Ive had mine a little over a year now, and love it! Strong tracking, plenty of room, and not hard to roll, although there are easier boats for rolling.
That doesnt mean you will like it, however. When I chose the Spring Run, I went to R2K'99 thinking I was going to build a Guillemot. I even had the sections drawn. I paddled every boat I could find that year, and liked the Spring Run the best. It wasnt quite done in 2000, this year was the first I had it up there.
Joe made a comment to me when I bought the plans that made a lot of sense. He said that you will tend to like a boat that performs close to what you are used to. I was used to a Cape Charles, so I didnt like the manuverability of the Guillemot. The very best thing you could do would be to paddle one, run it through it's paces.
If it's your first boat and you have no baseline, build it. You'll like it.
: Hi, Has anyone built Joe Greenley's "Spring Run"? I am considering
: building one for myself and was curious.
