But it's a Canon

Canon may have some good features, including a waterproof case, but I never even considered looking at their camera because I have had way too many problems with their products in the past. My ex had an AE-1 program and it took crappy pictures.

I bought a Canon BJC-600 bubblejet printer, and I had to bring it back because it printed like the head was dirty (it was brand new), I brought it back and the replacement did the same thing. It would start its cleaning mode every once in a while when I tried to print something. The color ink would evaporate even though I hadn't printed any color images. I finally wised up and sold that piece of junk at a garage sale and went out and bought a Hewlett Packard. Haven't had a problem since.

My mom had a Canon printer and she had a lot of the same problems. A friend of mine also had a Canon printer and he just got rid of it and bought an HP too.

Canon might produce good quality products, but I've never bought any of them.

Kodak has been pioneering digital imaging via space satellites http://www.kodak.com/US/en/government/ias/ and I read a lot of great reviews about this camera before I bought it.
