: What situation demands cabosil instead of sawdust for thickening? Thanks

I always thought the cabosil was used because of its "non-running" properties, in vertical areas where runny epoxy would be a problem. Not for additional strenght. I understand that regular flour, the stuff you bake with, would give you the same "non-running" properties as cabosil and the price is a lot better.
