Hi Roger, that's a really good way to go. I was doing that for a while but then I noticed I was running out of space to store all those prints, negs, indexes, doubles... I've got picture envelopes jumping out of drawers all over the house!

I didn't get rid of my old cameras but my new digital (Canon Elf) is now the favorite. I can fit about 1,000 images on it. I burn them to CD when it fills up (every six months). Best of all, I find that I'm shooting more (because there is no overhead on a throwaway shot) and I'm also shooting more low/available light because I can easily review/correct my exposure.

Grab one, you'll love it.

PS: a copy of Photoshop is a big plus.
