Use the polyurethane, in the black bottle. Be sure it's fresh - if you sqeeze the bottle and its crunchy inside, pick a different one.
It's more expensive than the white glues, but cheap if you compare it to Gorilla. Our local Woodcrafters carries System Three's version, which is about the same price as the Titebond. Ive used both, and cant tell the difference.
Alcohol wil clean it, but it's best to wear gloves. It doesnt come off your hands.
