I'm with you Bob. The Peruvian Walnut gives great contrast. But it's a bit heavy. According to my research the specific gravities in question are .5, .44, and .32 for Peruvian Walnut, Alaska Yellow Cedar, and Western Red Cedar respectively. Planks of PW could be thinner than normal and still be just as strong WRC however.
