and thinking about the submerged lateral area of the hull, there is a lot of boat in the water up front and very little at the rear. The bow seems to be sitting deep in the water. As you pointed out, putting the rudder down helps. Adding a skeg would also be a step in the right direction.
It might also help to move the center of gravity towards the rear, i.e., move the seating position back. While this will put more stern in the water it will also raise the bow, which is already fairly high, which may lead to leecocking in a strong wind, which has nothing to do with LeeG in the prior post. It is the tendancy of the bow to turn downwind, which can be dangerous.
