: val, how did you install the ss. u-bolt?
Did big end pours (before installing the deck, using plywood dams). After the deck was on, drilled into the end pour, 1/2" dia x 2" deep.
Put nuts on the U-bolts to provide a better purchase on the epoxy.
Slid bolt down into holes, & filled with epoxy using syringe.
I expect (hope?) that this will be good for several hundred pounds of force directly away from the deck, and obviously quite a bit more pulling parallel to the deck.
