I prefer the external myself, but see no reason why you could not adapt an internal to the SR. You would just need to figure out the placement of the SB in each form.

There seems to be a consensus that the SR will track stronger than the G. boat. This can be good or bad depending on your point of view. Some people have added external skegs to their G's while others like the loose handling. You should really try each before building.

The seats are made of minicell foam and should be very light. They are comfortable :-) BTW: Joe will make a seat for either boat. You just need to send him some dimensions from the finished kayak.
