Yikes! Hope we're not starting the dreaded Strong Back Jihad again . To be honest, I've only worked with the external. It is flexable (in it uses!), though. I have built S&G, strip, a Putz Walrus and a SOF all on the same external SB. One thing I really like about it is it is easily modified to make a work table next to your boat. I'm also working on modifying it for my dust collection system (more on that later assuming it works :-) Some poeple have questioned the external's stability (as in it might tip over), but I have never even come close to tipping mine. That's more of a function of what you put under it. That said, it has been suggested that the internal may be better for some types of hull shapes, especially those with low shear lines. With the SR, you should be fine with either.

Note: There are two SB's pictured because I was/am working on two boats.
