Glassing the underside

Don will chime in if this is in error, but I think he is recommending that you strip the deck, fastened only temporarily to the hull. Then take it off, glass the underside, and only then epoxy it to the hull. One of the weaknesses of the strip building method is that when water gets in, the strips soak it up like a sponge. Then rot takes hold, and turns to cancer. If you ever plan to have water inside the boat, or even if you don't, you will thank yourself for glassing the entire underside of the deck.
