This is a polymerized oil, just like Tru-Oil. Polyerized oils produce a finish that looks like varnish. Unlike traditional oil finishes, they can be built up on the surface. They will not give you a traditional oil finish.

Boiled linseed oil is not actually boiled, though the types of driers used in days gone by used to require the oil to be heated during blending. I don't believe this is true any longer.
