Thank you for the insight. I just phoned the museum direct. They have the book (Inuit Kayaks in Canada) and it's on the way ($13.95 w/shipping).

: Of the two books mentioned that Eugene Arima wrote the most valuable for
: would- be builders of Canadian Inuit kayaks I would have to say that
: "Inuit Kayaks in Canada" is the one to get. It has many scale
: drawings and construction info. The other book " A Contextual Study
: of the Caribou Eskimo Kayaks" is a more scholarly treatment of a
: particular Inuit people and the kayaks place in their lives. It is very
: well written.

: " Inuit Kayaks in Canada" may still be available from the Canadian
: Museum of Civilization. It was available last year for about $17.00 Can
: shipping included

: send an email to cyberboutique@civilization.ca to check if it is still
: available , failing that, check with your local library - they may be able
: to get it through Inter-Library-Loan , please return the book so that
: someone else can clutch it close to their breast for awhile and thank
: Eugene for a tour-de force!
