: Hi everyone,

: I am debating if I should use an individual bungee loop for each of the four
: hooks (hatch side) for the internal bungee hatch hold down. Alternatively
: I could use two bungee loops which go around two hooks (hatch) each. The
: first option has higher hold down strength, but may be harder to open. In
: addition it provides more safety in case one mount comes off. The second
: option requires only lifting the bungee of one hook. The getting the
: bungee off the second hook is much easier.
: Any thoughts from people using this system actively?

: Thanks in advance - Andreas

I use the single bungie system each side and it works fine. You can adjust the tension as required. The double bungie system would be a better choice for keeping the lid centered if the gap between the hatch lid and the rim is a bit too generous. I also find the lid impossible to open with wet or cold fingers, but rather than adding a pull tab, I took a plastic bike tire lever and ground
the end into a thin finger-like shape that does what my own fingers can't. It just clips onto my life jacket.

Cheers.
