: Hi Randy,
: Sorry if I spelt your name wrong. A few weeks ago I posted about my
: stretched, narrowed Chesapeake 16LT project. Last night I finally got to
: stitch it up to make sure that it was all OK. It is !!
: I have stretched it from 4.8 to 5.1 metres (an extra 3/4 inch per offset) and
: reduced the beam from 22 1/2 inches to 22.
: This has reduced the rocker slightly, and Veed the keel line quite a bit
: more, especially under the cockpit.
: The hull panels have all come together fine, with no more gaps or unwanted
: bulges than normal at this stage-so I would have to say that if you are
: still interested in trying something similar, go for it.

Hi Pete, I just got back from a month away from the computer (suffering the warm waters of S. California after Alaska's water is frozen or close to it) and just read your post.

Did you just extend the distance between stations and leave the other meaurements the same? If so, did you just narrow the width mechanically and that squeeze is what made the boat with a bit more "V"?

I'll probably start on mine in about two weeks.

Randy
