Correct. (effectively, I scaled the length so that I have the longest bottom panels you can possibly get with only one scarf join-it worked out close to 12 3/4" between stations, but I changed none of the offsets)

Yes. Instead of spreading the hull to the maximum beam to 22 1/2" called for in that bit of paper with all those lines on it which I like to ignore, I only went to 22".
It is quite surprising how much more it has V'd the hull. I am not sure I would want to pull much more than an inch out of the beam this way. At least you can stitch these things up and try different length spreaders before committing to epoxy!
