Cypress is similar in characteristics to WRC. The color is very uniform on the stock I used. It is also light weight. Probably a little heavier than WRC and a little lighter than Redwood. I've found it easy to strip, route, bend, glue, and epoxy. The boards I used were 16' 1X6.

I plan on using Cypress again on my future boat projects.
