Hi Ross,
It would be nice to get those items of the shelf. I have access to a fully equipped shop at work and I have the skills to use the tools. All items are custom pieces.
You guessed right. The pullknob has a 0.5 mm recess which accomodates the inlay. The top section is only 1.5 mm thick incl. the inlay. The advantage of this approach is to avoid chipping the edge of the wood inlay.
