I built a Green Valley Osprey stripper. I know the Ospey (a solo canoe) is available in S & G now, but I didn't know the Kipawa was.

I don't think I can recommend Green Valley highly enough. Their designs are excellent. Most, if not all, are modern, efficient designs by John Winters. Martin Step, proprietor of Green Valley, is very generous with his e-mail support and (especially) his patience. His plans are very well thought out.

: OK, I know this is a kayak message board, but I'm thinking of building a
: canoe for my step-son's wedding present as a warm up to building a
: Merganser 16. It needs to be a two person canoe and it needs to be S&G
: plans.

: Right now I have it narrowed down to the Green Valley Kipawa II and the
: Selway Fisher Peterborough. Does anyone know anything about these
: companies and/or boats? Green Valley is in Canada and Selway Fisher is in
: England. I need the plans to be good and easy to follow and I need the
: company to provide good handholding/technical support.

: It's tough to find S&G plans for canoes. If anyone knows of any other good
: options, I'd appreciate knowing that as well. I've looked at Stillwater,
: Laughing Loon, Glen-L, and Northwoods, among others.

: Thanks for any info anyone might have.
