Not that I need to, but I could cut a really big hole without affecting its stiffness in this application. I'll hang at most 60 lbs. of wood, forms, tools, and strips on it.

The manufacturer lets you cut a 2 or 3" hole in a "real" floor joist and still set a grand piano on the floor above.

Hmm...I'd better go hit a job site and start looking for scraps!! A duplex receptacle at bow, stern, and middle, on both sides would be super handy--I'd never need an extension cord!!
