Patsy,

I LOVE my Osprey! It turned out a little heavier than I had hoped, but not bad for a first-time effort, and consdering the decks are a little larger than normal, the inwales and outwales are continuous for the length of the boat, and I added brass bang strips. After my experience with the Osprey, I wouldn't hesitate to try the S & G Kipawa.

By the way, have you looked at Thomas J. Hill's designs? His are glued lapstrake--probably faster to build than a stripper, but probably slower than a S & G. His book is titled UTRALIGHT BOATBUILDING and is for sale lots of places. He has two tandem canoes: the "Daisy May" at 14 ft. length, 32 in . beam, and the "Champlain" at 16 ft. and 36 in. beam.

Ken
