...it comes to mind that it is simply too narrow down at waterline level: both at cockpit and near bow and stern. Looks too like you've made it as narrow as possible even overall: not more than one fist on each side at hips?
But being as low as it is, if the bottom were wider at cockpit, secondary might be minimal. So what remains? More fullness towards bow and stern? -> more buoayncy, slightly higher ride. Might turn out equally fast or faster. Would still be as narrow, but slightly higher volume.

Isn't that deck almost flat? If so, only way to lift sheer line is to make deck higher, and really add volume....
