The pure, natural oils take longer to dry. The polymerized ones dry faster. The sealer one will probably have some varnish mixed in.

Personally, I dont think it makes all that much difference. I havent tried tung oil, Ive used boiled Linseed oil in paint thinner, and more recently, turpentine. Ive used it with and without adding a little varnish. Adding some varnish in the first coat or two seems to make a more permanent finish, but again it's a matter of preference.

: I am making my first attempts at building paddles. I would like to use tung
: oil to finish them.

: Lee Valley sells Tung oil and Polymerized Tung oil AND Polymerized Tung oil
: sealer.

: Is there a product I should use for paddles or is there something I should
: avoid? Or should I just stick with applying the 100% Tung oil and stopping
: thinking about it?
