I have made quite a few parts out of carbon and I want to go the lazy route of making a couple hoods for a gtx and impreza strictly race skins. Now what for the lasy route I mean no mold lay the carbon for shape and pull and trim. Now I know with making parts like pipes you can wrap the pipe with the carbon and use different methods like VCR tape or wax mylar sheets to get teh smooth surface so if anyone has suggestions for the hood please let me know. I havn't used mylar before so I donnu if it is possible to use sheets of it to get a smooth clean finish for teh hood. So if anyoen knows please post. I figure I will have a little loss to surface but thats the price I am willing to pay so I don't have to make another huge mold.
