Hi Bobby. In reality, it doesn't much matter; we're talking 1/8"-1/16". It's doubtful it would impact performance that much. Technically though, the outside/leading edge of a form is the only place a strip touches accurately. And, that edge is assigned to only one line in space. So it comes down to how precise you want to be. I'm building according to Ted Moores method (KayakCraft/CanoeCraft); he offsets the forms so the leading edge of each form (where it touches) is directly on the line. So each form is staggered toward the middle of the boat.
