I did my first boat with System Three, and at that time they and West both told me that as long as the prior coat is cured, mixing and matching brands is fine. Be sure to get the blush off, if there is any.

I went to MAS, and have been using it since. I like it's viscosity, and the no-blush. I have tried a little RAKA, and on this current project I'm doing a seal coat with whats left of my MAS, and then I'll try usin RAKA on the boat. Lot's of people on the board have used it and liked it.

I think Vaclav, at One Ocean Kayaks, has some good comparitive test information on his site. Run a search of the archives and it will turn up. Interesting color data, in which RAKA did quite well.
