:The problem with Gorilla glue, or I guess any Polyurethane glue, is that it expands and it has the consistency of hard yellow foam when it sets. I haven't tried it on strips but I would think that would be a problem. I like the Elmers "Professional" yellow. It has a nice consistency at application down along the strip and I can wipe it as I go by just running thumb and second finger along the glued strip, scraping it back on to light sections. It wipes off real easy. The grip is adequate and any problems I have had with too much stress the redwood actually gave first. If any of you go with Elmers make sure it's the Professional yellow type. I bought the carpenter's glue last year and hated it. It dries a stony white which is very difficult to sand and leaves a white smear all over the place. JJ.

Ken- I used the PL glue a few years ago to build a paddle. The pieces
: delaminated! I think part of the problem was that the glue was thicker
: than it was supposed to be. The bottle had been open for a few months and
: may have a short shelf life after it has been exposed to air I have been
: useing Gorilla Glue and leaving it upside down which seems to prevent
: problems.
