: As I was glassing the deck of my Return the other day, I started thinking
: about how much I owe to others who have had a part in this project. I’d
: like to publicly say thank you for your part (knowing or unknowing) in the
: "If 'n When II."

: ** Joe Greenley for great plans that are easy to follow, and the extended
: cockpit relief of the King which I adopted for this boat. It’s early, but
: his soft padeyes and "knotless" bungees are a part of plan as
: well. Thanks, too, for hosting the Rendezvous!;

: ** Nick Schade for a great book and wonderful web resource. Lurking around
: the bulletin board for 18 months before starting has made the project much
: easier!;

: ** Spidey for his great website and clear example of building a wonderful
: boat the first time around. He was my model for stapleless -- if you don’t
: count the seven in my hull ;) -- construction.;

: ** Rehd for his steamer bong and picnic (mustard & ketchup) bottle ideas;

: ** Pete Roszyk for his bulkhead mounted pump – the Guzzler 500 with soft
: spring is on the shelf just waiting for the bulkhead installation;

: ** Vaclav Stejskal for his clear instructions regarding carbon fiber cockpit
: coamings and hatch seals;

: ** Rob Macks for his experiments with magnetic hatches;
John,

What species is the lighter wood - it almost looks like it's a curly maple? Or is that just a trick of the camera. Looks great.

Jim

: ** Shawn Baker for his comments on real life deck rigging;

: ** anonymous – someone had a boat at R2K1 that used some Port Orford cedar
: which started me on a search for some for my deck. I wish I’d made a note
: at the time, but if it was you, thanks!;

: and others I’ve failed to mention. Thanks for your contributions to my
: project. It will float one of these days!
