oops - only got one link into the last message. If you are considering building one of the Kayakcraft boats, there are some additional stem offsets on at the link below that should make the task a little easier.
BTW, your comments about the books were right on. I am planning to start on an Endeavour soon (I've been planning this for a while, but so far no action). I will mostly be following the kayakcraft techniques, but there were a lot of ideas in Nick Schade's book that I'm going to adopt also, so what I'll end up with will be a modified Endeavour.
I plan to use a sturdy external strongback, because I can see a canoe down the road sometime, but the strongback described in Kayakcraft seems like overkill. What kind of strongback did you use for your canoe?
