I'm doing the same thing. I bought Putz's book and have found it rather helpful. Mine's frame is done - used electrical conduit PVC that I bent and am using for stringers. The gunwale is a PVC/plywood I-beam that appears rather sturdy. After I solve the problems encountered when skinning it, I plan to figure out how to fold it.
What are your ideas?
