I built the stong back from Canoe Craft. Right now I'm building Nick's stich and glue, and have screwed 4ft long boards to all the cleats making a long ribbed table to work off of. seems to work so far. If you are interested I'll post a picture, I have to finish the roll, develop it, and scan in the picture first though.

If I was to build a strip kayak I'd likely use the strong back, and use Ted's approch to seting up the mold. This is not something I planned in advance, just that I build the Canoe, and now have the stong back, so I'll use it.

The only thing I did not like about the strong back, was that I kept stubbing my foot, and tripping over the feet on the stong back. This seemed happen mostly when I was first setting up the stations. I'm not sure if I figured out where the strong back feet were, or that once the stations were in place I was forced around them, but it was not much of a problem after a while.
