Strip: Transition from topside to bottom

I am building a Night Herron and would like some opinions regarding the transition from the sheer via the waterline to the bottom. About midship to the bow the distance from the sheer to the water line starts getting larger (duh?). How would you suggest making the top side so that I can start equal at the waterline as it transistions to the bottom. My sheer, an accent strip, and another strip follow the sheer. After that, aft of the cockpit, I will only have one 3/4 strip before I hit the waterline. Forward there will be several. Do I work with many cheater strips that will runout at the waterline around the cockpit? I had thought that I would do an accent strip on the water line, but may skip that.

I know there are many persons with good ideas on this board, thanks in advance with your ideas.
