This is a good point that I didnt touch on. Actually, your little propane radiant is not approved for use in an enclosed space. Any heater that is not vented to atmosphere is dangerous to run in an enclosed space - the combustion byproducts are an accumulative exposure. That is to say, the Co you breathed in yesterday is still remnant in the bloodstream today, and tonights exposure adds to it. It is a silent, deadly killer. Several people a year die of cracked heat exchangers in thier furnaces.

Another danger is an open flame where you are using thinners - such as turpentine to coat paddles. You want good ventilation to do that, I usually run my dust collection fan when coating, or I wait till just before I go in for the night, when the fire is out.

Thats a great idea, the little electric baseboard / tarp combo. Ive always used a few 150-watt light bulbs, or a 1200W electric forced air heater. I had a little tent rig when I did the Spring Run that worked quite well.
