In Response To: Strip: Pinched Keel headache! (Chas Bernstein)

I have built a Cape Ann and a Gillemot 19 with Vaclav's instructions. We built the skeg seperately and they came out great. There was no problems with the strips going out of alignment. The end result is a very sharp skeg, it even looks good.
The hardest part was coving the bottom strips to fit the bead on the skeg. Try it. It is a great time saver to. I only deviated from the way Vaclac did his by keeping the bead on the skeg's bottom strip and coved all the kayak's bottom peices to fit.
Regards, Erich.
PS. My web site should be up by the weekend. I will post a picture to it.
