: I'm at the end of my first week-end of stripping and even after reading
: Nick's book, I don't know if I've gone too far but I sure could use some
: advice!
My first kayak I finished in Aug. of mostly my design had twists and stresses in it that caused some strips to snap and go flying across the room. I did the soaking, steaming, hot iron and more but what worked for me the best for holding the really tough strips where I couldn't get a clamp on, was with a super glue with the consistancy of honey and a spray excellerator that set the glue instantly. Glue on one side and excellerator on the other surface and sometimes pulled into place with vice grips. I found it to be handy for many things.
