Yes, actually you have to turn it off about 15 minutes before... Atleast with mine, the wood still outgasses for awhile. Once the seal coat is hard, you can run it all you want.

: heat when you start to apply the first seal coat. As the wood cools it
: will suck in the resin. After that any outgassing has to occur on the
: uncoated side of the wood.
