I think the way I would approach it is by taking a sharp awe or ice pick and opening the crack somewhat from the hull side so epoxy could get into it real good and then putting a strip of glass over the crack. I would heat up the epoxy so as to make it even thinner so it would flow into the crack better and then work it into the crack with the sharp awe.
