Uhoh... I routinely use sharp-edged hitting devices in aggression. I'm most aggressive about it early in the morning, when it's cold inside.

But I do feel guilty, especially about the cedar. My daughter-in-law keeps bringing us old-growth cedar shake for kindling - the stuff you can get 1/8" x 24" long strips off of with an axe, it's so straight grained. I see paddle parts every time I cut it
