And we want it to be more sensitive? The problem was no warning when you are about to overpour.

: Moving the pivot point ABOVE the beam will REDUCE sensitivity, while putting
: the pivot BELOW the beam will INCREASE sensitivity. Similar to using a
: wooden coat hanger: You can reach an equilibrium of sorts with unequal
: weights hanging from each end (non-sensitive), while trying to balance an
: inverted hanger (sensitive) will be much harder.
: Physics-wise, the inverted hanger will balance only when the center of
: gravity of the beam is exactly above the pivot supporting it. A 'hanging'
: beam will more easily find a stable position because the C-O-G will try to
: move itself directly under the pivot.
