: How do I access messages between June 17 and September 18, 2001?

Unfortunately I am going to have to do some house cleaning before the search will work on that date range. But if you happen to know the ID number of the message (I know you neglected to memorize all the ID's of all the messages you read ) you can access it via the Archive like this:

http://www.kayakforum.com/cgi-bin/Building/KBbbsArchive.cgi/read/51000

Where the "51000" at the end is the message ID. Just substitute the ID.

I'm going to have to move some older messages out of the archive so the script will be able to handle what is there. There are currently about 22,000 messages in the archive and the script starts to puke around 10,000. I'll get around to it later this week, but right now the pond is frozen and my skates are sharp. (I have priorities )
