In for a penny, in for a pound, Mark! . There are some out there, although I'd be inclined to buy one, tell your wife it's a "safety issue". The commercial ones aren't too expensive, I think about $30 - $40 and up?..not sure
Try a search in the archives under sprayskirt. I think there have been posts in the forum about home made ones
