I attach my shopvac to my dewalt ROS.
My ROS has 3 pieces, the main piece (with the motor), a connector piece (oval on one end and round on the other) and a bag with a round opening.
When the dust bag is disconnected from the connector piece (at the round opening), the shopvac hose fits on to a round fitting on the connector piect
I found that the oval fitting was not quite tight enough to stay attached when sanding, so I have attached it firmly to the motor with some thin wire.
: Please let me know what I am missing. I bought a new Dewalt ROS (DW 422) at
: Home Depot. The display and box said it comes with an attachment for a
: vacuum. I have a Rigid Vac, and for the life of me I can't figure out how
: to make them mate.
: The instructions don't mention any adapter or anything.
: The sander works great, very quiet, and removes material fast, but I'd like
: to use it with the vac. Any suggestions.
: Thanks in advance.
