The hull is finished and I'm nearly done stripping the deck of my Guillemot-L and I'm ready to order epoxy and glass. After searching a lot of prior postings on glass I have an idea of how I would like to do this boat and some feedback would be appreciated. I am thinking about using RAKA 350 non-blush epoxy on 3.25 ounce tight woven glass on the outside with a football shaped second layer on the bottom. For added strength, I'm considering using six ounce tight woven cloth, S-glass, non-woven, or kevlar on the inside. I cut my own strips, but they are not cove and bead. Does this mean I should do the glass a little heavier? The other reason for the added strength is that I weigh 200 pounds and I paddle in the Chesapeake Bay and sometimes off shore. Thanks for any suggestions.
