Hi Bert, sounds cool. Do a swatch test with a short length of the veneer on a scrap of plywood. I would test their fish glue http://www.leevalley.com/wood/page.asp?SID=&ccurrency=2&page=20019&category=1,110,42965 (since that's what they suggest) and yellow glue too.
Do a thin epoxy precoat and then a quick swatch of glass on top. Why chance it at this point
