You may be able to order a zero clearance insert for your table saw from a source such as wood workers supply. But don't hold your breath if its an older craftsman saw. I tried it and it didn't fit my old saw.

Plan B:

I had some old panneling laying around which was 1/4" thick. I Cut it a little oversize using the original insert, then sanded the edges for a tight fit. Since it was too thick to sit flush, I simply used my router table with a rabbiting bit and trimmed 1/8" thickness from the bottom perimeter.

The overall extra thickness makes for a more stout insert.
