Would you glue it down with thickened
: epoxy ,carpenters glue or something special?Any suggestions would be much
: appreciated as I must get it right the first time.

I hope I'm not out of bounds mentioning how Rob Mack does it in his instruction booklet but since he mentions a source for this technique in the FINE WOODWORKING article "Easy Veneering with a Household Iron" #108, Oct. 94 page 48, this is how it is suppose to work. You coat the article to glue the veneer to and the veneer with carpenters glue and let it dry. You also dampen the other side of the veneer with water so the veneer won't curl. Then you take an iron and iron on the veneer. The hot iron activates the glue. I have been thinking of trying this just to see if it works.
