Not to worry Rick, this is a very common situation.

I would put some spreader sticks in your deck that are the same width as your forms at the sheer and then strap around the deck and hull to keep it from getting worse. Or reinsert your forms if possible.

I had at least 1/2" gap when I went to join the deck and hull. I also had some problems in the length, deck ended up 3/8" shorter than the hull somehow. Shrinkage?? I just centered the deck over the hull and glassed away, sanding them flush after joining.
